Allyson Turner

Ally’s Passion for teaching came when she was a young teen babysitting

the neighborhood kids. From there she began teaching preschool at the

age of eighteen which then led into the life long journey of teaching. For over 25 years

she has been teaching birth through 5th grade in regular education, exceptional children

and art classes. Ally received her BA in Studio Art with a minor in

Education from Converse University.

Growing up in Upstate South Carolina, Ally has always loved the mountains and she

moved to western North Carolina about 10 years ago with her partner and three children. When

Ally is not teaching she can be found making pottery, hiking, shopping, or

spending time with family and friends.
