Amy Townsend
1st Grade Assistant Teacher
Amy Townsend is a dynamic professional with a diverse background in education and
technology management. She holds a business degree from St. Andrews Presbyterian College
and has amassed valuable experience working within K-12 classrooms. Amy's career includes
serving as the Director of Technology at Carolina Day School, where she played a pivotal role in
integrating educational technology to enhance student learning.
With a deep understanding of educational methodologies and a passion for nurturing young
minds, Amy is excited to bring her skills to FernLeaf Community Charter School. Amy is excited
to get back into the classroom where she can connect with students everyday.
Amy is also a devoted mother to two sons who are joining FernLeaf, underscoring her personal
investment in the school community. Outside of work, Amy enjoys outdoor activities such as
riding horses, camping, and traveling with her family. Her love for nature and adventure enriches
her ability to connect with students and create engaging learning experiences.
