Ashley Armellini
Occupational Therapist
Ashley’s passion for Occupational Therapy can be traced back to elementary school when she would spend time using her hands to build houses out of sticks and dirt. She was born in California; however, she grew up in many states learning about different cultures, perspectives, and world views. Ashley has always enjoyed helping others. During her undergraduate studies, she volunteered at the Blossom Montessori School for the Deaf where she helped work with children to support visual communication, group identity, and inclusivity and awareness.
Ashley spent a year in western Oregon working for two different school districts where she provided education to staff on different sensory processing skills, environmental modification, and instructional strategies to better accommodate both typical and atypical children in their academic endeavors. Ashley has also spent time working in the pediatric outpatient setting where she provided services to children in the clinic, home, and community settings. These experiences have taught her the importance of collaborating with her students to promote independence and success in a meaningful way.
Ashley is a graduate of Stony Brook University in New York where she got her Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy. When she is not busy supporting students and families, she enjoys traveling, and can be found spending time outdoors hiking, doing yoga, and enjoying time with family.
