Bena McCain

Speech-Language Pathologist

Bena discovered her love of language during a study abroad language immersion program in France. She pursued foreign language study for some time before realizing her interest in speech-language pathology. Working as an SLP has given her a way to use language to provide a helpful resource to people with communication impairment and differences. After working in various medical settings, she found working in schools with teachers, kids, and families to be the most rewarding and fun.

Born and raised in South Louisiana, Bena graduated from Louisiana State University with focuses in International Studies and French. After starting her family, she pursued her masters degree in Communication Disorders from Louisiana State University Health Science Center.

Bena and her family felt called to the mountains and moved to Fairview in 2019. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her three kids, Lola, Ruby, and Julien, her partner Vincent, and her dog Hiccup. She’s also a fan of fiber arts, travel, gardening, homesteading, reading, writing, and finding new places to play outside.
