Chris Webb

Born and raised in Birmingham, AL, Chris grew up spending time outdoors, learning about and

appreciating the natural world from a young age. Now with a toddler, it’s fascinating to play a

role in exposing and educating the little hikers to the natural world, with ample snacks in

tow. Being able to play a role in young people’s experiential education is Chris’s goal and

passion, especially as a new parent.

Chris earned his bachelor’s degree at Brevard College in wilderness leadership and experiential

education. After being exposed to experiential education later in life, Chris wants to make sure

that young people have the opportunity to learn experientially at an early age. In his spare

time, you can expect to find Chris hiking, trail running, or mountain biking in Pisgah or DuPont,

playing guitar, listening to music, or planning the next cross-country family vacation. Chris and

his wife Camille have lived in WNC for nearly fifteen years and are so glad to call these

mountains home. Chris is very excited to be joining the FernLeaf Team!
