David Hoover

David has a strong background in special education, school counseling, and academic

intervention, with many years dedicated to supporting students’ academic and personal

growth. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA (Go Steelers!), David has always had a deep

commitment to education and a passion for helping students overcome challenges and

achieve their full potential.

Throughout his career, David has worked with diverse student populations, providing

tailored support to meet their unique needs. His experience in special education has

taught him the importance of patience, empathy, and individualized instruction, while his

work in school counseling has allowed him to guide students through critical stages of

their academic journeys.

Outside of work, David cherishes his family. He and his wife have two wonderful

children who keep them on their toes and bring immense joy into their lives. Family is a

cornerstone of David's life, and he strives to extend that same care and support to the

students he serves. In his spare time, David enjoys fly-fishing, biking, and sitting around

a fire listening to good music. He also coaches tennis and flag football, combining his

love for sports with his dedication to mentoring young people.

David is thrilled to be joining the awesome team at FernLeaf, where he is eager to

contribute his skills and experience to a community that values education as much as

he does. He looks forward to collaborating with his colleagues, engaging with students,

and making a lasting positive impact on the school community.
