Michele Smith

Born in Wooster, Ohio and raised in Concord, NC, Michele received her bachelors’ degrees in Chemistry and Biology from Appalachian State and her master’s degree from Western Carolina University in physical therapy. Michele has lived in Western North Carolina for 29 years and has 3 adult children and one grandchild.

Michele's interest in physical therapy and all things related to special kids occurred with the birth of her second child, Tamara, who has cerebral palsy. She has worked both privately and in school settings for 23 years as a pediatric physical therapist. When not playing cards and games with Tam, Michele loves to cook, garden, hike, bike, and read.
